Middle Maths NZ

For many Kiwi teachers, composite classes are the norm. Cobbling together a cognitively engaging, curriculum linked, maths teaching unit for children in multiple year groups can be dauntingly difficult. The talks, tasks, games, guided instruction notes and planning examples linked to this website have been curated to help meet this challenge for teachers of New Zealand students in Years 4 to 8 (Ages 8 – 13).
With links to the Tāhūrangi search engine (every search has been done for you!) and hundreds of other curated resources aligned to Phase 2 and 3 of the Refreshed New Zealand Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum, these should provide a “one stop shop” for all of your planning needs.
