Develop a Long Term Plan
Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the curriculum overviews.
It would be useful to read through these before you start to plan. As you read, make sure you click on the corresponding ARBs assessment tasks and LPF illustrations – these should help you answer the questions “what do I need to teach to cover this objective?” and “what will it look like?”

Step 2: Use one of these masters to develop your own Long Term Plan.
Remix the teaching and learning schedule on one of these LTPs to suit the needs of your class or syndicate.
Learning rarely ever happens at the pace we want it to, so decisions about which curriculum objectives to omit from this year’s programme will almost certainly need to be made as the year unfolds. Try to make consistent decisions across the syndicate, and keep a record of any omissions on the long term plan, so next year’s teachers can make them a priority.
